It’s a whole new year and everyone has started thinking about what they want to change, resolve or start for 2015. Being as it’s Friday and everyone has been reading about New Year’s resolutions, we are going to do our regular fun fact Friday.
It is said that the Babylonians were actually the first to start the holiday on March 23rd, 2000 B.C. This marked the new year because it was the beginning of spring and the time to start planting crops. A Roman Emperor eventually changed the date to January 1st, based off of a mythical god, Janus, who had two faces that looked into the past and future.
So which way will you face? Toward the past or the future?
Go have a great weekend!
